it is to increase the effectiveness and economics of their
programs in payment systems, including the use of smart card
and similar technology for concessionary ticketing and building
a platform for commercial and other non-transport applications.
For the private sector operators it is to enable them to increase
their growth rate and increase their profitability by developing
products and the customer proposition appropriate to this environment
and maximising cost-effectiveness and revenue generation. Graduate
with thorough understanding of Information Technology as it
relates to smart cards and fares and ticketing, including the
ITSO specification - but personal characteristics matter most.
