Defending champion MVA Consultancy won the 2006 inter-consultancy
Transport Planning Olympics
Following its 2005 success, MVA Consultancy
organised the 2006 Transport Planning Olympics at Battersea Park
athletic track where seven transport consultants (Atkins, Boreham,
Colin Buchanan, Faber Maunsell, MVA Consultancy, Parsons Brinckerhoff
and Steer Davies Gleave) competed on Friday 13th October.

The competition
consisted in various track events (100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m,
4 x 100m relay), field events (long jump, high jump and shot put)
and even an egg and spoon race. Over 100 people attended to take
part or support their team. MVA Consultancy won the 2006 trophy,
seven points ahead of runner up Parsons Brinckerhoff and Colin Buchanan
came third to complete the podium.
