Staff arrived at Skern Lodge on Friday evening, after settling into their accomodation, there was a buffet supper followed by a Quiz.

Saturday Activities
There was a range of activities from which staff were able to choose those which most appealed. The day was split into two sessions (morning and afternoon).

At the river:
Kayaking – single or double kayaks (similar to canoes);
Rafting – multi-person inflatable rafts.

At the Beach:
Surfing;
Surf-Skiing – a cross between surfing and kayaking.

At the Centre:
Assault course – a series of connected obstacles including wall, rope bridges, balance beams and zip wire;
High Ropes – a 50m long course with various challenges including tight-rope walking, high beams and a flying trapeze (between 25ft and 35ft above the ground);
Archery;
Climbing wall & Abseil;
Tunnels – network of artificial tunnels to navigate.

 

“Hartland” Day (all day activity)
Coastal route including mix of climbing, coastal traversing and abseiling.  All day activity at Hartland Point.

In the evening there was a murder mystery event.

Sunday Activities

There were team events on Sunday morning, where points could be earned for various activities completed. Teams were encouraged to choose activities to challenge all members of the team, while not loosing sight of the points to be earned. Activities included:
