The impact of noise is a major issue for airports. For BAA we developed the AIRVIRON system which is in use and visible to the public in the Heathrow visitor's centre.  This system records noise-related complaints and allows detailed analysis of aircraft movements to the offending flights, or indeed to identify whether the incident related to or exacerbated by other non-airport related factors.

MVA also undertakes qualitative market research to help monitor public attitudes to specific issues in the vicinity of airports.
