MVA EXPANDS TRANSPORT RESEARCH & POLICY TEAM

MVA is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Stephen Atkins as Projects Director with effect from 1 December. Steve has over 30 years experience in transport planning, combining research skills with practical experience of implementing transport strategies. He joins from the Strategic Rail Authority where he was an Assistant Director in the Planning Department; previously he worked as a Chief Officer at Southampton City Council, managing an integrated City development policy group; at London Transport as Policy Studies Manager and as an academic at Southampton University. Steve, who is currently Chairman of the Greater London Branch of IHT and remains a visiting Professor at Southampton University, will be developing further MVA's capabilities on transport research and policy across all modes of transport.
