MVA Consultancy Strengthens Development Planning Presence

MVA Consultancy has strengthened its presence in Development Planning in London and the South East, with the recruitment of Colin McKay as Director Development Planning.  He was previously Operational Director with RPS Transport in the firm’s Newbury office.

Colin specialises in advising major clients on transport issues for developments across the UK.  He provides strategic advice, directs work on Transport Assessments and acts in negotiations on legal agreements with highway and planning authorities.  He particularly strengthens MVA Consultancy’s capabilities in acting as Expert Witness at Local Public Inquiries for Planning Appeals, Traffic Schemes, Enforcement Appeals and Secretary of State Call-ins.

Colin has extensive experience in private consultancy and also in local authority.  A Chartered Civil Engineer, he is also experienced in the planning, design and construction of major highway projects, and has practical knowledge of the planning system and highways procedures.
