Concessionary Fares Permit Production

With the introduction of new Concessionary Bus Fare
scheme starting from 1 April 2006 Hertsmere Borough Council commissioned
MVA to produce a permit production system to manage the expected
increase in applications for concessionary permits. The system is
based on the permit module in Hertfordshire County Council's HAPS
PT information management system developed by MVA.
The permit production system enables Hertsmere to
manage the application and production process by generating renewal
letters, storing applicants' details, including digital photographs
and links to the Council's LLPG database for full addresses, renewing
existing permits in batches and printing completed permits. The
system is now complete and in use in time for the new permits to
be issued by 1 April.
The Concession Fares Permit Production System is freestanding
and can be used by other local authorities undertaking concessionary
fares permit production.
