MVA is pleased
to announce the expansion of its pedestrian and terminal planning
capability with the appointment of Mark Dymond who joins the team
as Principal Consultant.
For the past five years Mark worked for London Underground's (LUL)
Strategy and Service Development directorate as part of the Network
Development team. His principal duties were to assist with the coordination
and development of major key infrastructure and congestion relief
schemes encompassing project sponsorship, management and coordination
on behalf of LUL. As a senior programme coordinator for the Thameslink
2000 project, Mark was responsible for business planning, financial
mangement, liaison and negotiation with internal (LU) and external
stakeholders, detailed business cases and passenger movement studies
required to facilitate a major station closure to facilitate scheme
construction.
Prior to working with LUL, Mark developed project and programme
management skills through his involvement with the £30m Darwin
Centre (Phase 1) extension to the Natural History Museum and Tourist
Information Centre refurbishment and reconstruction projects within
the East of England.
As part of the
company's commitment to continuous professional development, Mark
will be attending the MSc Transport Planning course at Imperial
College, London.
