MVA Consultancy appoints London deputy director

Leading transport specialist MVA Consultancy has appointed Chartered Transport and Town Planner Costi Rentzos as Deputy Director for the London region.

Costi RentzosDuring his career he has managed and directed studies in masterplanning, public transit priority, traffic management, and urban regeneration. 

Previously he provided expert advice on accessibility issues and transport assessments for major housing and stadium developments within Greater London including for the new Wembley regeneration area and Twickenham rugby stadium. He also provided advice on urban realm and public transport improvement studies for a number of London boroughs.

Enhancing the expertise of MVA in the delivery of traffic management and bus priority studies, he brings in-depth knowledge of the application of microsimulation techniques in London and the south east, where he has a track record of providing software guidance, audit and project advice to Transport for London.

He said: “I am very pleased to be joining MVA during a very exciting period for transportation planning in London. 

“Urban realm improvements and innovative traffic engineering applications will be key to the successful delivery of the infrastructure required to 2012 and beyond. I am looking forward to helping MVA’s clients meet the challenges ahead.”

Costi joins MVA from JMP Consulting where he was Business Unit Director for the London docklands and Brighton offices.

Now approaching its 40th anniversary, MVA has offices from Birmingham to Beijing and a 450-strong team with expertise spanning the transport industry.
