MVA Consultancy appoints new Scottish Divisional Director

MVA Consultancy has appointed a new Divisional Director for Scotland.

Dougie McDonald will drive the leading transport specialist’s offering north of the border, focusing on all aspects of transport policy and planning, transport schemes, transport information systems and social and market research.

Dougie is an accomplished project director with wide-ranging knowledge and expertise in transport planning, transport modelling, transport assessments, public and stakeholder consultation, parking strategies, scheme appraisal, forecasting and economic evaluation. 
Dougie has built up his extensive portfolio of experience in a career spanning almost two decades with MVA, developing project planning and budget management skills, scoping studies, complex transport planning, modelling and appraisal projects involving multi-disciplinary teams, multi-organisation clients and projects involving public or stakeholder consultation.

Leaving his current position as Business Development Director, he said: “It’s a great privilege to lead MVA's work in Scotland.  Our consistently high client satisfaction ratings are the result of the efforts of the excellent team we have at MVA.

“The strong base established by John Baggaley and his predecessors, and the continuing commitment of the Scottish management team ensure that our client base, staff numbers and service offerings continue to grow.”
