MVA Consultancy is pleased to welcome ex-Strategic Rail Authority Chief Executive Nick Newton.
Nick, will advise MVA and their clients on a range of issues and has been given the title Director, Rail Strategy and Development.
He has a strong history of leading policy development and implementation in complex commercial fields thanks to his strengths in strategy and organisational leadership.
Not afraid of controversy, Nick dealt with SRA’s challenging relationship with Railtrack, persuaded ministers to adopt a radical approach to passenger representation and stabilised the organisation during transition.
MVA Chief Executive Nigel Ash said: “Nick has a fine commercial mind and will be invaluable to us. Given his previous positions at the Strategic Rail Authority, South Eastern Trains, the Office of Passenger Rail Franchising and London Transport, he will be able to advise us on many aspects of the transport industry.
Nick added: “There couldn’t be a better way of continuing my involvement in the industry than working with a company of MVA’s capability and reputation.”
