MVA Consultancy appoints Charles Scales
to lead Aviation Practice

Leading transport specialist MVA Consultancy has appointed Charles Scales as Director, Aviation and Airport Planning.  Spearheading MVA’s Aviation Practice, Charles will strengthen MVA’s 500-strong team with his experience as an accomplished project director who has worked with both public and private sector clients worldwide.

With a career in management and consultancy in aviation and logistics spanning 14 years, Charles brings to MVA a track record of leading successful assignments that have included strategic assessment and planning, merger analysis, bid support, due diligence, operational efficiency assessment, aero political and regulatory assessment, alliance selection and integration, and MIS selection.  

Charles has played a key role in a number of projects for significant clients including the UK Civil Aviation Authority, the UK Competition Commission, Mubadala Development Company (UAE), Hochtief AirPort, UK Department for Transport, European Commission, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), DHL Express, Singapore Airlines, SkyTeam, Lufthansa, Schiphol Airport, The Airline Group and other airlines, airports and associated investors.  

Charles Scales said: “My aim is to help clients meet the challenges of our changing business environment at both a strategic and operational level, and use my aviation consulting and industry experience to lead and grow MVA’s Aviation Practice.”

Charles joins MVA from Booz and Company Ltd, where he was a lead Associate in the aviation team.
