MVA Consultancy to study revenue loss from fare evasion

<< Go Back

MVA Consultancy has been commissioned by Transport for London to conduct quarterly surveys of bus fare evasion across London’s bus network.  The surveys will monitor patterns, trends and hotspots in fares evasion, to identify revenue loss and help target enforcement actions by Revenue Protection Inspectors most effectively.

Martin Dix, Project Director at MVA Consultancy, said: “MVA is delighted to be taking forward the next phase of this long-established survey, together with our fieldwork partners Sky High.  We are already working with TfL and stakeholders to find improved ways of tracking and understanding evasion activity, helping to reduce revenue loss and protect the interests of fare-paying passengers in London”.
