MVA’s Director of Smarter Travel has joined the board of directors at ACT TravelWise.
This is a return to the Board for Conrad Haigh – who served on both ACTand TravelWise boards before they merged, and was chair of the joint merger board – overseeing the unifying of the organisations in January 2008.
He was officially announced as a new member at the ACT TravelWise AGM held in London on Tuesday 8 June.
He said: “There as been some good work done by ACT TravelWise since the merger but I feel there is a significant challenge remaining in creating Smarter Travel as a robustly established and recognised element of the transport toolkit, I hope I and ACT TravelWise, can be part of that.
“I am proud to be joining as a member of the board of directors at what is a very exciting time for the industry and hope to contribute to its success as it grows as an organisation and works to achieve its goals.”
Conrad joined MVA Consultancy in 2008 from Transport for London (TfL) where he was Workplace Travel Planning Manager.
Conrad has specialist public sector knowledge and significant experience of devising strategies designed to create behavioural change in transport use. Key projects in which he has played a key role include the delivery of a workplace travel planning programme across 33 London boroughs.
