The project involved data gathering to identify the
extent of concern of poor traffic management design practice in the
UK. Having identified these needs, an investigation was carried out
of the present methodology of information dissemination in the UK.
Current practices and procedures relating to the dissemination of
design guidance were reviewed. The same exercise was then carried
out in other countries to compare UK practices and to identify ways
of improving the availability of design guidance and standards in
the UK.
