Bracknell town centre regeneration

<< Go Back

We provided the transport input to Masterplanning work for Bracknell Town Centre on behalf of Bracknell Forest Borough Council. Our includes a review of the requirements of Government Office for the South East (GOSE) with respect to national and regional planning guidance and advice on development of a car parking strategy. The project covered accessibility by various modes and the best location for various forms of development, means of stimulating integration between public transport and development, interchange facilities at bus and rail stations, access problems for disabled people, pedestrian and cycle access, location and capacity of taxi ranks and potential for bus priority measures. We also undertook a scoping exercise regarding the extent of the work required to complete robust Transport and Environmental Impact Assessments. The draft Masterplan was completed in February, followed by public consultation, with a formal presentation of the final Masterplan expected by June.
