We provided a range of transport planning services,
including forecasting and market surveys and strategic planning,
as part of a framework contract. Cross London Rail Links Ltd is a
joint venture owned by Transport for London (TfL) and the Strategic
Rail Authority (SRA). We teamed with Building Design Partnership
(BDP) on this project. The range of tasks on which the team provided
assistance and support included definition and appraisal of short
listed options, identification of the preferred route and service
pattern for Line 1, development of preferred scheme for Line 1 and
development of case for Line 1 in preparation for statutory powers
process.
The contract also covered advice on development of
Line 2. Last year, we developed an Appraisal Framework for Crossrail
line 1 (East-West) and Crossrail line 2 (Hackney-SouthWest). The
Government-funded study reviewed a range of routes and service
patterns
for both schemes and used the appraisal framework to help select
the option that would be taken forward for implementation.
