Customer Attitudes to Water Services

We undertook a survey of Portsmouth Water's
customers to assist in discussions between the water company and
OFWAT re future service
provision.
As part of the Water Industry's Periodic Review of
prices, Portsmouth Water needed to understand their customers' views
on current water
services and proposed improvements. In particular, Portsmouth Water
wanted to establish which of the proposed service improvements
customers were willing to pay for. We surveyed Portsmouth Water's
customers and compared the findings with those of a parallel, national
study which we also undertook.
We have also undertaken qualitative research to determine
priorities for the Consumer Council for Water.
