Dublin Bus Network Review

We undertook a major review of the bus network in the Irish capital. The study included the development of a strategy framework agreed with stakeholders to assess various network options. An assessment tool was developed to quantify the impacts of options both in terms of operational impacts, resulting patronage and revenue forecasts, as well as the impact on public transport journey tiomes and accessibility. Implementation plans were developed based on the preferred network including provision of bus priority enhancements as part of Dublin's expanding Quality Bus Corridor network. Consideration was also given to approaches for enhancing bus operations through the city centre area.
