We completed further patronage and revenue modelling on the Fastway public transport system. The results were used to refine the demand and revenue forecasts to take account of a radical review of design in some areas. Other changes affecting the forecasts included a new express bus service running parallel to parts of the proposed Fastway route, a new operator for the main bus services in the area and the availability of new electronic ticket machine data for the bus network Fastway is a £24m high quality bus priority and guided bus scheme. We have been involved with the scheme since the feasibility study and our work helped attract 10m pounds of public sector funding awarded to the scheme.
