For Fife Council we conducted an appraisal of a package of bus improvement measures to support its bid for Public Transport Funding. The team delivered a STAG-based (Scottish Transport Appraisal Guidance) appraisal of the preferred package of measures as part of a report providing sufficiently detailed information to justify the required level of investment. The team assessed the identified corridors and interchange points in the light of Fife Council current transport policy, perceptions of key ‘provider’ stakeholders, current travel behaviour and perceptions of bus travel and bus infrastructure and services. We advised on scheme selection and definition, detailed design and costing and, as the elements of the preferred strategy emerge, identification and quantification
