The Study examined the demand for and provision of
new off-street public car parking in Glasgow City Centre. The Study
included a detailed survy of off-street public car park use and a
'first principles' consideration of the number of off-street public
car parking spaces required to serve Glasgow's busy shopping and
business districts. Financial and environmental appraisals of potential
new car parks, together with micro-simulation modelling of new access
arrangements ensured a comprehensive consideration of new public
car park supply.
