This project involved providing support to train operating company GNER in their bid for the new integrated Kent franchise. There were a number of elements including construction of a demand forecasting model, support and reporting. The new CTRL domestic services required some innovative approaches to forecasting. In addition, the impact of peak crowding was important. We also provided strategy advice for GNER's bid for the Integrated Kent Franchise, which includes high speed domestic services on the CTRL. Advice covered train timetables, ticketing strategy, commercial strategy, revenue protection and other areas as required by the client.
