We developed a Passenger Transport Information
System for Hertfordshire County Council. The
Hertfordshire Advanced Passenger System (HAPS) replaced the Council's
current PATS
with a system based on a single consolidated database. We supplied
a phased implementation of PTIMS, a system developed in conjunction
with ARS Traffic and Transport Technology, a Dutch company providing
intelligent transport systems services and solutions.
PTIMS provided
management of bus stops, input of bus registrations, maintenance
of bus routes using an integrated GIS, management and output of
bus timetables, management of tenders and contracts for bus services,
fare information management and export of data in standard formats
for use with journey planning systems. Modules were also supplied
for Hertfordshire's specific requirements: production and management
of education tickets, management of education services and tenders,
bus stop infrastructure maintenance and works orders and management
of updates to roadside publicity.
