We won two major contracts related to the London Transportation
Studies Model (LTS) which we have managed consistently for TfL and
its predecessors for many years. For the first time there is to be
a clear split between applications on the one hand and development
and maintenance on the other. We are one of several consultants appointed
to carry out applications of LTS. Since its inception in 1986, LTS
has been applied widely to all major transport policy questions and
schemes in London and is possibly the largest transport modelling
system in the world. As sole supplier of LTS services to date, we
have been instrumental in all of these large and varied applications.
Recent examples include the Mayor’s Transport Strategy and
New Cross Gate Road Bridge. A second, much larger contract relates
to the development and maintenance of LTS, for which we are sole
supplier. The commission covers advice and support to TfL for model
enhancements, provision of reference cases, production model support,
data interaction and development of future models.
