Evaluation of the Place2Be - Edinburgh Hub

We conducted a process and impact evaluation
of the work of The Place2Be in Edinburgh. The Place2Be provides therapeutic
and emotional
support for children in primary schools. The overall aims of the
project were to evaluate the process by which The Place2Be was
established in schools, and the impact that The Place2Be has had
on the emotional environment of the schools and on all stakeholder
groups involved. Following a literature review, data was collected
and analysed on exclusions, attendance, behaviour and attainment
for the schools involved, and qualitative consultation was conducted
with a wide range of stakeholders, funders, teachers, Place2Be
counsellors, mental health workers, parents and primary school
children.
