Saxton Road Home Zone

For Oxfordshire County Council we developed outline
proposals for a Home Zone in the Saxton Road area of Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
The project included public consultation in the form of community
events, known as ‘Design Days’, newsletters and a programme
of local attitudinal monitoring. Our staff managed the design consultant
appointed to carry out detailed design of the measures, promoted
the project and handled enquiries from the public.
Our involvement
with Home Zones dates back to the national pilot study. Our bid
on behalf of London Borough
of Lambeth was successful in attracting funding and pilot home
zone status.
