The feasibility study looked into the viability of
a rail connection to Shannon Airport and its environs. The study
assessed demand for such a rail link, from a variety of different
travel categories, examined route options, determined capital costs
and conducted financial and economic appraisal of the options identified.
The appraisals took into account economic and social issues in the
region.
