In April 2005 we were appointed to undertake a major
strategic rail planning study for Transport for London's London Rail
division to inform their inputs into future rail franchise specification.
The main tasks involved a planning assessment, technical and operational
analysis, gap analysis, scheme generation and sifting, business case
development, and production of a capacity development strategy for
corridor. This provides the rationale and justification for TfL's
inputs into Network Rail's Route Utilisation Studies and the SRA/Department
for Transport's franchise specifications.
