For almost ten years we have developed, maintained
and supported the Transport Model for Scotland (TMfS) for Transport
Scotland (previously Scottish Executive).
TMfS is an enhanced four stage multi-modal transport model. The
model contains all the main traveller responses to policies or schemes
such as route or destination change, re-timing of journeys, switching
between car or public transport and change in frequency of trip making.
The model also features peak spreading, macro time of day choice,
high occupancy vehicle modelling and has an interactive Land Use
Model.
The model has been used for a wide range of highway and public transport
scheme and policy appraisals.
