We help our clients with benchmarking against
recognised quality standards to provide insight into best practice
and ‘lessons learnt’ in order to produce a superior performance.
Our skills lend themselves to benchmarking studies where we can provide
our clients with well-researched advice to assist in the understanding
of their organisation and its performance against other industry
exemplars.
In carrying out benchmarking, our role is to
present the client with the key performance standards and a clear
and incisive interpretation
of the similarities and differences whether they are institutional,
operational, market-based or funding related. We can provide insight
which can inform the clients business with a view to defining change
that can be influenced to produce attainable, measurable performance
improvements.
We recently assessed the levels of performance
of public transport systems against a set of indicators reflecting
traffic
congestion
levels, public transport patronage, and modal share. We provided
insight on the inter-relationship between land use planning and
urban densities and transport networks and the importance of
a balanced
investment in new transport provision together with traffic restraint
measures.
