Timetable Construction and Analysis

MVA have the capability and expertise on all aspects of timetable production and analysis required to support a clients with their timetabling requirements. MVA operate a variety of software tools to carry out timetable robustness analysis, ranging from high-level analysis using the CMS system, to a detailed examination using simulation tools such as RailSys, Railsim or Opentrack.

Using these tools, we are able simulate the effects of day-to-day operations on the proposed timetable, apply perturbed scenarios and analyse the results to provide advice regarding robustness of bid timetables. The simulation tools also allow the modelling the effects of infrastructure enhancements on a network, in terms of whether they provide the necessary capacity enhancements required by the upgrade.
