Evaluation research aims to demonstrate a causal relationship
between dependent and independent variables, rather than just one
of association. It will typically involve an experimental design
in which the effects on the experimental group are compared with
a control group who have not been part of the experiment. In this
way the likelihood of a casual link between, say, receiving a job
seekers grant and getting a job, can be established.
Major projects often require examination of social and community
issues. We have assisted clients both within formal Environmental
Impact Statement (EIS) procedures and as part of supporting research
activities.
