One-to-one interviews

<< Go Back

With some ‘hard to reach’ groups it may be difficult to invite them to a focus group. We use in-depth one-to–one interviews when:

  • the priority is to obtain insight and detail of confidential/sensitive information
  • a detailed exploration of individual attitudes is required
  • respondents potentially know each other (eg, colleagues)
  • specific respondent types for which the practicalities of getting together in a group are difficult (eg, disabled, geographically dispersed)
