We developed ACCESSION accessibility analysis and planning
software for use by local authorities, patient care trusts, education
authorities and central government departments to evaluate the impacts
of current services and plans on different sections of the population.
ACCESSION is most widely used by local authorities to prepare their
Local Transport Plans and analyse the extent of social exclusion.
ACCESSION includes a suite of tools to import transport data, demographic
and boundary data and integrate this with a GIS mapping system for
calculation of accessibility measures. Accessibility can be measured
by distance, travel time and cost by multiple models - car, bus and
walk. ACCESSION includes powerful algorithms to calculate accessibility
by county, region or nation.
