Public sector organisations have a particular responsibility
to reduce their level of car use, to provide a model of good practice
for other employers, but the combined efforts of private organisations
can also make a difference. Moreover, organisations such as hospitals
and universities wishing to extend development of their existing
sites are being asked to prepare a Company Transport Plan as part
of their planning application.
We are working with private companies, including several
household names and with public sector organisations to develop their
own Green
Travel Plans... and yes, we do have one of our own!
Our extensive experience in this area includes staff travel surveys,
site and access surveys, staff group discussions, forecasts of future
demand, identification of measures, assessment of benefits, implementation,
management and monitoring of the plan. We have also developed our
own car-sharing software CarShare Online, suitable for use in any
type of organisation.
