We combine traffic engineering and information technology
skills and
experience to develop effective methods of enforcing the restrictions
necessary to improve safety and environmental standards.
Traffic management measures improve safety, assist
traffic
flow and provide environmental benefits to communities.
Poor enforcement of such measures erodes a community’s
vitality and sends a signal to drivers that traffic and parking
regulations need not be observed.
We advise on the options for different forms of traffic
management, including technology-based criteria, times of
operation, methods of enforcement, costs of adjudication
services, operational expenses and revenue income. We
also evaluate measures to deal with displaced parking and
complementary incentives for cycling and public transport
usage. We combine these skills with expertise in public
consultation methods to ensure that the public
understands the nature of the proposed measures.
Our approach to enforcement methods also extends to
speeding, red light ‘running’, illegal use of bus lanes,
ramp
metering and heavy vehicle bans. We advise on the use of
video surveillance and the latest technology to detect and
deter offenders.
