to work together to ensure town and city centres offer sustainable
regeneration and genuine choices of access by modes of transport
other than private car.
Developers’ requirements are not always aligned
to those of
local authorities and the people they represent.
Masterplanning should lead to sustainable regeneration, with
Access and Movement issues considered as a priority.
We bring together commercial incentives and social
needs to
develop sustainable transport solutions through master plans. We
recognise the important role transport can play in delivering
economic, social and physical regeneration as well as the
important role it can contribute to other policy areas such as
health and education.
We work with urban planners to masterplan town and
city centres,
new development and regeneration areas using our skills in
preparing accessibility profiles, undertaking transport audits
and
assessment and generating transport solutions.
We identify appropriate transport measures to unlock
the potential for regeneration and to provide an essential input
to a masterplan
for an area including Access and Movement plans.
