Road safety

<< Go Back

We have prepared designs for road safety projects for many highway authorities. These include projects for the Department of the Environment Transport and the Regions (DETR), Hampshire County Council on the A36, for West Sussex County Council on seven rural and urban roads, Oxfordshire County Council for the A4155, Medway Council for an area of Gillingham, Leeds City Council for a 20mile/hour zone and Lambeth for a Home Zone.

Our safety audit staff have assessed well over 50 schemes nationally.

We audit existing layouts, new and improved roads and developments and temporary schemes. This can involve collating accident, traffic flow and geometric information and preparing predictions of accident rates for different road designs. We also undertake safety audits as part of larger projects, such as bus priority schemes, and provide road safety training courses.
