to central government, local authorities, transport operators and
individual schools. We use a special blend of traffic engineering,
information, technology and social research skills to develop workable,
healthy solutions to school travel problems.
We work with schools to provide travel plans. The reasons why parents
prefer to transport their children by car are complex and the benefits
of changing travel behaviour may not immediately be apparent to them.
We take time to consult stakeholders, and work with parents, teachers
and governors to explore objections and areas of doubt, present proposals
and review feedback. We can also help local authorities and schools
to market their strategies through local events, newsletters and
other awareness raising activities.
